Our origins began back in the mid 1960s when John Morris, his wife, Betty Colby and her brother established a shop at the present Lancing address.
Originally combining electrical goods with a toy shop, model railways were soon established as a major part of the business.
When the last of the founders retired in 2006, the business was sold to Brian and Angie Jackson of Models and Hobbies in Steyning. The opportunity was taken to combine the two businesses at Lancing under the name ‘Morris Models’ and confirm the predominance of model railways at the core of the business.
Whilst our online shop is growing to include more of the full range of stock contained in the shop, a visit to the real shop will show how much is available.
New products are received from manufacturers immediately upon release or shortly thereafter.
Many items sell out quickly immediately on release, so we welcome orders in advance of the model's release in order that you should not miss out.

We specialise in model railways of British and European outline together with associated scenic accessories, road vehicles and control equipment from all leading brands.
In addition, we offer Scalextric slot cars, plastic construction kits, jigsaws and for the younger members of the family, Playmobil.
Many of the products can only be appreciated by seeing them for yourself, so we encourage customers to visit the shop in Lancing to see the extent of the quality products stocked.

Our shop is located in West Sussex just off the main south coast A27 Trunk Road, between Brighton and Worthing, and being located on a local parade, there is easy free
parking outside, not restricted like most modern town centres. Buses stop outside the shop, and a mainline railway station is 20 minutes walk away, (full details see the How to Find Us page).
Many customers also comment upon the welcome friendly advice they are given concerning their plans for their model railway during a visit to the shop, which would be more difficult to be given at a distance. Models can be seen at their best in the "flesh" and can be demonstrations can be given on our DCC Digital demonstration layout.
